last year i was approached by British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) to undertake a commission to design a ceramic feature to be used in a show garden for the Stoke-on-Trent Garden Partnership's garden - 'Transformation' - for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in its centenary year in london in may. so i have been busy over the last few months designing and making a contemporary piece that includes traditional techniques and skills. as a result i have produced bone china bricks with hand crafted flowers made by Rita Ford and Jeanette Seabridge. this is an exciting project to be involved in.
as part of my commission for the Chelsea Flower Show and in conjunction with the BCB’s ‘Fired Up’ initiative - which aims to get ceramics back into local schools. i have delivered workshops and as a result young people from Stoke have been involved making their own flowers and bricks which will be used at the show.

had a mention in stokes newspaper the sentinel about my involvement in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
